  • Is looking for an Accounting Assistant
About Our ClientLeading steel and mining company based in Corpus Christi. This role offers 1 days of remote flexibility per week and potential for FTE within 6 months.Job DescriptionThis role will involve:
  • Monitors banks accounts and post all account transactions, incoming and outgoing, into SAP
  • Reconciling bank transactions to open customer and vendor invoices Maintain and remove payment blockers from invoices
  • Spot review invoices to ensure accuracy and approvals before arranging payment
  • Create and generate weekly ACH payment run file
  • Provide excel check register, payments made information, and coded and posted credit card receipts to appropriate database system
  • Initiate intercompany and international payments Supports weekly liquidity forecast for the current month, 3-month future liquidity forecast at month-end, and 12-month future liquidity forecast at the 1st month of every quarter Communicating with vendors to confirm delivery of payments
  • Initiate emergency manual check payments
  • Write and record checks in appropriate database systems
  • Obtaining appropriate signatures for approval of check distributions to vendors
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed

  • Bachelor's degree in business required
  • Expertise in financial analysis, schedule analysis, modeling and budgeting methodologies
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and analytical skills
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)
  • Experience in SAP preferred
  • Must have the ability to effectively communicate in English, verbally and in writing. Skills will be used to produce quality reports and thorough instructions & directions.
