Position: Accounting Assistant
Location: Fremont
Pay: $18.00
Hours: Monday - Friday 8am- 5 pm
**This is a temporary assignment but can lead to a permanent position.
Job Duties:
- Accounts Payable (3 way match of vendor invoices, Data entry of invoices, Processing ACH payments/Physical Checks and send remittances to vendors)
- Track Receiving - follow through to completion
- Track Invoice entry issues - follow through to completion
- Post sales invoices for accounts receivable
- Create Purchase Orders (or vouchers) for Monthly Expenses & Track monthly costing (Ex. Gas, Electric, Phone, Lowes Expenses, Vendor payment terms)
- Create Payment Proposals based on cash availability
- Maintains records of IT tagging
- Support all audit processes
- Audit the IT tagging physical items
- Support preparation for financial statements
- Generates reports of financial performance
- Additional tracking (Freight, Forklift leases & maintenance contracts, POs written, Scrap, Material Costing, Fastenal Costing)
- Filing
Education/Experience:
- Preferred - Associate's degree/some college in Accounting or related field
- Prior experience as an Accounting Assistant or Accounting Clerk , experience working in manufacturing setting strongly preferred
- Experience working with ERP and using SAP
- Good math skills and the ability to spot numerical errors
- Must possess excellent data entry skills
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to multitask
- A working knowledge of bookkeeping procedure
- Intermediate level of knowledge in basic hardware and software using of a variety of different computer operating systems such as Microsoft Office Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Workspace, Outlook/Gmail and web-site software required
