Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Accounting Associate to join our team in the fast-paced and impactful field of healthcare software technology. In this role, you will be responsible for accurate and timely financial and administrative support to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations within the finance team. Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Accurately record accounts payable transactions across multiple entities into the accounting software. Ensure all data is entered in a timely and organized manner.
  • Record and report on cash receipts daily and prepare bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare and issue accounts payable checks and electronic payments. Use banking portals to upload positive pay data and research historical transactions.
  • Assist in maintaining the general ledger by reconciling accounts, performing journal entries, and ensuring proper allocation of expenses and revenues. Monitor and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
  • Track and manage expenses by verifying invoices, reconciling statements, and ensuring proper coding and authorization across business units.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and provide support for budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and reconciliations.
  • Assist in financial analysis activities, including variance analysis, cost analysis, and budgeting support. Identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue enhancement, and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information exchange. Provide support and assistance to colleagues as needed.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be a team player with a professional demeanor and good interpersonal skills.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA) are a plus.
  • 4-6 years' experience in accounting or finance.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and general ledger maintenance.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must be able to traverse the production facility.
