Accounting Clerk - Manpower Group : Job Details

Our client in the finance industry is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team. As a Staff Accountant, you will be part of the Finance department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and experience with accounting software, among other qualifications.

Job Title: Staff Accountant

Location: Altavista, VA

Pay Range:60,000 + base salary

What's the Job?

• Oversee daily operations of Finance, including sales & sales margin.
• Manage daily cash control reports and cash flow.
• Manage General Ledger, including journal entries and reconciliation.
• Perform bank reconciliation.
• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience as an Accountant.
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including GAAP.
• Hands-on experience with accounting software.
• Advanced MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas, etc.).
• Experience with General Ledger functions.
• BS in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant degree required.
• Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus, but not required.
