Position Summary: The Accounting Manager will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our financial infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, experience with audits, and a proactive approach to process improvement and internal controls, including the development and enhancement of quality control processes.
Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee and maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards.
· Prepare complex journal entries, conduct detailed analyses, and perform account reconciliations as part of the monthly close process.
· Contribute to the development, review, and analysis of annual operating budgets and performance projections, providing insightful recommendations.
· Oversee accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury functions, ensuring documentation is accurate and complete.
· Conduct thorough internal audits and work closely with external auditors, leveraging experience from previous roles in audit firms.
· Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations and other financial processes.
· Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data and reporting.
· Meet all financial processing and reporting deadlines, maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
· Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audits, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
· Assist the Controller and CFO with strategic financial planning and other duties as needed.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· CPA certification preferred, or actively working towards CPA certification.
· Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
· Strong experience working with or within audit firms, with a deep understanding of audit processes and requirements.
· Proven experience in developing and implementing quality control processes.
· Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines.
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy.
· Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
· Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the utmost integrity.Skills & Expectations:· Ability to lead a team, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
