Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager will play a key role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of Cameron Coffees financial statements by supporting the Controller in the month end closing process with an emphasis on the management of the trade accounting process.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for:

  • Management of the Trade Accounting Process, including:

    • Track and maintain a comprehensive database of all commercial agreements.

    • Compare customer deductions and invoices against customer agreements to determine their validity.

      • Approve customer deductions.

      • Processing of Trade invoices through SAP

      • Management of denied deductions. If necessary, escalate to the Sales Operations Manager.

    • Track and analyze trade spend, monitoring over/underspend by customer. Recommend changes to trade rates. Adjust accruals as necessary.

  • Prepare and submit accruals and other journal entries

  • Monitor processes, both internal and external to the department, to ensure they are executed in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Assist Controller with month end close activities

  • Assist Controller with internal and external audits

  • Other duties, as assigned

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelors Degree in accounting

  • Minimum of 5 years of Accounting experience required

  • Minimum of 3 years of Trade Accounting experience required

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office or similar programs, software applications, and mobile devices

  • Proficiency with SAP Software desired

  • IFRS knowledge desired

  • Bilingual (Spanish) desired

LOCATION: This position will be based out of our Shakopee, MN office with the opportunity to work from home 2-3 days per week.
