Accounting Manager
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager. This role is responsible for managing the month-end closing process, preparing and entering complex journal entries, analyzing month-end results, and consolidating variance explanations. The ideal candidate will prepare and distribute financial statements, ensure accurate reporting in accordance with GAAP, and manage special projects and ad hoc reporting. Additionally, the Accounting Manager will mentor accounting staff and oversee monthly and year-end closing processes.
Duties:
+ Prepare and enter closing journal entries with a focus on complex reserves and accrual calculations.
+ Analyze month-end results and consolidate variance explanations.
+ Prepare, coordinate, and distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to internal management.
+ Maintain accurate brand financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
+ Prepare account reconciliations of assigned accounts and provide analysis and reporting on all reconciled accounts.
+ Manage special projects and ad hoc reporting.
+ Mentor accounting staff by providing individual guidance and technical expertise.
+ Manage the monthly and year-end closing process for the brand team to achieve objectives of accurate and timely reporting.
Essential Skills:
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
+ CMA or CPA License preferred.
+ Advanced Excel and PC skills required; SAP experience preferred.
+ Ability to work independently.
+ Energetic self-starter.
+ Ability to handle and resolve complex issues.
+ High level of integrity required.
+ Must be able to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
+ Excellent organizational skills.
+ Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00
