ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST - Farm Credit Foundations : Job Details

This hybrid position within the accounting team requires 20% of time (1 day/week) be worked in our office in St. Paul.Accounting Specialist Responsibilities:

• Creates, validates and posts journal entries
• Prepares client billing from various departments
• Processes invoices
• Reconciles variances in payroll, benefits and billing processes
• Communicates with customers and vendors regarding billing and system differences

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Associate's degree in accounting, finance or business and 3 years of accounting experience, or equivalent
• Working knowledge of accounts payable processing and reconciliation
• Working knowledge of Excel, SQL database tables and Word applications
• Knowledge of GAAP
• High attention to detail and skill in maintaining accurate data
• Strong customer service skills
• Skill in written and verbal communication with internal and external contacts
