As a highly valued member of the Dallas, TX Team, this position is responsible for performing general, creating and managing purchase orders, journal entries, account reconciliation, gross margin reporting and management reporting as necessary, and balancing of departmental accounts.
**AS AN ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST, YOU WILL:**
+ Engage in various aspects of the accounting period closing process.
+ Calculate, prepare and enter journal entries into Oracle General Ledger.
+ Complete balance sheet account reconciliations on a monthly or quarterly basis, including investigation and analysis of root cause and driving resolution related to reconciling items.
+ Record intercompany charges to/from Corporate through Long Term Debt (LTD) account.
+ Coordinate and complete yearly internal and external financial audit requests.
+ Complete quarterly financial and tax reporting requirements passed from Corporate.
+ Drive process improvement for Accounts Payable team.
+ Summarize and report capital spending and payments, including working with project managers and ISE management on ad hoc reporting requests.
+ Support Manager of Fixed Assets and AP in maintaining Fixed Asset Register.
+ Report Sales and Use Tax to Corporate Tax department on a monthly basis.
+ Process accounts payable transactions including matching and keying invoices, as needed.
+ Maintain Employee Master file.
+ Perform other related duties as assigned.
**REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:** **?**
+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
+ Strong computer and skills, proficient in Excel.
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities required.
+ Experience working in various Oracle ledger responsibilities.
+ Legal work authorization in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role now or in the future.
**SCHEDULE:**
This is a first shift position with general working hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
**LOCATION:**
This role will help support our new distribution center in Forney, TX. The address is 13871 E US Highway 80 Frontage Road, Forney, TX 75126.
