Job Description :
Job Summary RD Offutt Farms is seeking an Accounting Support Specialist to add to the R.D. Offutt Farms financial accounting team. The Accounting Support Specialist will work with the RD Offutt Farms accounting team in Fargo, ND. This role will collaborate with individuals within accounting and operations to assist the accounting team with preparing financial information used by the organization. The R.D. Offutt Farms operates potato farms across the upper Midwest in North Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska and Wisconsin. R.D. Offutt Farms have a long history in the agricultural production industry and would like to add a Financial Accountant to our team. Specific Duties
  • Prepare daily cash journal entries and other routine journal entries for multiple entities.
  • Complete daily reconciliation and records management.
  • Import and reconcile inventory data for use in the financial reporting process.
  • Prepare reconciliations for expense reimbursements to maintain accurate records for company credit cards.
  • Organize and file produce receipts and inspections.
  • Record check deposits collected from customers.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end account reconciliations.
  • Prepare registrations and renewals for assets in the company's fleet.
  • Identifies and reports accounting related issues to supervisor.
  • Be a self-starter; ability to work independently as well as with other personnel and management.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork.
  • Cultivates professional relationships with agronomy, operations, accounting, and finance team members.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
  • Attend required company meetings and training and participate in constructive discussion.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
  • 2+ years of work experience in bookkeeping or accounting
  • Team player with a strong work ethic and an upbeat attitude
  • Ability to work across multiple computer systems/programs
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
