Our Business:Our company is a community association management company whose focus is to find new ways to deliver exceptional service- both for our clients and the industry as a whole.Purpose of the Role:A Property Management Accountant Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of properties by accurately recording income and expenses, preparing financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful analysis to Portfolio Managers.Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Recording and Reporting:
- Accurately record all property-related transactions including rent collections, utility bills, maintenance costs, repairs, and tenant security deposits.
- Prepare monthly financial reports including income statements and balance sheets for each property.
- Monitor and reconcile bank statements to ensure accurate cash balances.
- Management:
- Scheduling and time card approvals for accounting staff.
- Training accounting department staff.
- Evaluations for accounting staff.
- Processes, procedures, and internal controls.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with property managers to develop annual budgets for each property, including projected income and expenses.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and forecast future revenue and costs.
- Compliance and Regulatory:
- Maintain compliance with all applicable accounting standards and property management regulations.
- Ensure accurate reporting of rental income and expenses for tax purposes.
- Monitor and address any potential audit concerns.
- Facilitate annual audits for all properties.
- Analysis and Insights:
- Provide detailed financial reports and analysis to property managers.
- Analyze property performance metrics to inform decision-making.
- Manage ICS accounts.
- Note: Other duties and tasks as deemed necessary and pertain to the position.Personal Attributes:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines.
