Our client is a rapidly growing retail/apparel fashion company. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist to join their Finance team. Salary/Hourly Rate: $75k+ Position Overview: The ideal candidate for the Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist role will be responsible for managing the full cycle of accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and timely payments, and maintaining strong vendor relationships. This role is essential in supporting financial operations and ensuring the smooth processing of payables. Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist:

  • Process invoices, expense reports, and payment requests promptly and accurately.
  • Match purchase orders to invoices and ensure proper approvals are obtained.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers, checks, and ACH payments.
  • Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date and within terms.
  • Communicate with vendors to address any payment issues or concerns.
  • Assist in month-end closing processes and support the Finance team as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and organized AP files and documentation.
  • Assist with internal and external audits related to accounts payable.
Qualifications for the Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist:
  • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Industry experience, if applicable, is a plus.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
