Job DetailsAccounts Payable SpecialistDuties/Responsibilities:

• Perform 3-way invoice matching before processing invoices for payments
• Clarify any discrepancies in pricing, items or quantities
• Prepare invoices with appropriate documentation for approval prior to payment, if applicable
• Ensure invoices are posted to the correct GL accounts
• Maintain historical records by filing documents
• Reconcile account statements with vendors and resolve discrepancies
• Process ACH, wire, check payments to vendors
• Ensure timely payment to vendors
• General accounting support
• Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time
• Good written and oral communication skills

Skills/Experience:

• Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting skills
• Knowledge of Accounting principles and procedures
• At least 3 years experience in general accounting and accounts payable
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge in using basic office equipment – computer, scanner, fax, printer, 10-key, etc
• Microsoft Office proficient (Excel, Word)
