What we are looking for: We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team and help us achieve our goal of saving the world one package at a time! The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for providing accounting assistance to significant financial areas, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation. What you will do:
  • Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and other fsss2inancial documents for accuracy
  • Process and enter invoices into the accounting system, ensuring all relevant information is accurately recorded
  • Prepare and process payments to vendors and suppliers, ensuring payments are made on time and in accordance with company policies
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of all accounts payable transactions, including invoices, payments, and related documentation
  • Assist in month-end closing activities, including preparing and reconciling accounts payable reports
  • Respond to inquiries from vendors, suppliers, and internal staff regarding invoice and payment status
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports and analysis related to accounts payable.
  • Stay up to date with relevant accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance with legal and industry requirements
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient payment processes
  • Assist with audit support as necessary
  • Support and comply with all company policies and safety requirements
  • Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed:
  • B.S. Accounting or Finance or similar experience preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in accounting or accounts payable desk
  • Knowledge of accounting rules, regulations, policies and procedures that is reflective of the manufacturing industry
  • Proficient Excel skills
  • Exposure to automated accounting system
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
