What we are looking for: We are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team and help us achieve our goal of saving the world one package at a time! The Accounts Payable Clerk will be responsible for providing accounting assistance to significant financial areas, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation. What you will do:
- Review and verify invoices, purchase orders, and other fsss2inancial documents for accuracy
- Process and enter invoices into the accounting system, ensuring all relevant information is accurately recorded
- Prepare and process payments to vendors and suppliers, ensuring payments are made on time and in accordance with company policies
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues that arise
- Maintain accurate and complete records of all accounts payable transactions, including invoices, payments, and related documentation
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including preparing and reconciling accounts payable reports
- Respond to inquiries from vendors, suppliers, and internal staff regarding invoice and payment status
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports and analysis related to accounts payable.
- Stay up to date with relevant accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance with legal and industry requirements
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient payment processes
- Assist with audit support as necessary
- Support and comply with all company policies and safety requirements
- Performs other duties as assigned
What you need to succeed:
- B.S. Accounting or Finance or similar experience preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in accounting or accounts payable desk
- Knowledge of accounting rules, regulations, policies and procedures that is reflective of the manufacturing industry
- Proficient Excel skills
- Exposure to automated accounting system
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
