Accounts Payable Clerk - Lewis Bakeries : Job Details

Lewis Bakeries is searching for an Accounts Payable Clerk, responsible for receiving, verifying, processing, and tracking all invoices and payments from a variety of suppliers and customers.

Lewis Bakeries is a family owned and operated company that was started by three brothers in 1925 in Anna, Illinois. Lewis primarily bakes loaf bread, buns and rolls under branded products such as Bunny Bread, Lewis Bake Shop, Healthy Life, as well as other brands. Bakery facilities are located in LaPorte, Ft. Wayne, Vincennes, and Evansville, Indiana, and Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Our heritage has been one of quality and reliability since 1925. RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Receive, verify, track, process, and reconcile payments and expenditures, including purchase orders, invoices, statements, checks, refund requisitions, etc. while maintaining compliance with all financial policies and procedures

2. Ensure outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.

3. Generate necessary reports and present accurately

4. Communicate with internal and external clients

5. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school diploma required.

2. 1 year of accounting, banking, or office administration experience preferred.

3. Knowledge of basic accounting principles.

4. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and able to learn other accounting software systems

5. Great communication skills, written and spoken form.

6. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.

7. Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong work ethic; self-starter.

8. Ability to work Monday to Friday 7AM - 4PM
