Because Friends Care Always!Requirements for a Accounts Payable Coordinator:
  • High school diploma; post high school courses and/or experience in bookkeeping and general office procedures desirable.
  • 2-3 years of AP Experience preferred.
  • Microsoft office, Great Plans Accounting Software preferred.
Responsibilities for a Accounts Payable Coordinator:
  • Manages accounts payable using accounting software and other programs.
  • Develops, implements and maintains systems, procedures and policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines.
  • Handles accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
  • Analyzes workflow processes as it relates to payables and payments of payables.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
  • Ensures bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to company policies.
  • Generate checks and maintain check log.
  • Responsible for Bank Accounts Positive Pay/Fraud monitoring for AP checks
  • Communicates cash balances and assists with cash flow projections.
  • Manages credit card payments with directors.
  • Prepares the journal entries related to credit cards and therapy.
  • Completes credit applications as needed.
  • Manages record storage of all account payable transactions.
  • Manages audit requests timely and completely for both financial and government audits.
  • Manages the annual year-end IRS Form 1099 process.
  • Makes bank deposits and trips to the post office.
  • Manages TFH and Member's Fund petty cash box.
  • Manages monthly closing of related financial records and ensures the accuracy of A/P through reconciliation and recommended accruals.
  • Manages checks that are outstanding over 90 days.
  • Prepares analysis and reconciliations of various accounts as required.
  • Participates in in-service education and safety programs; may attend meetings or workshops to improve job skills.
  • Opens and distributes mail.
