Accounts Payable LeadJob Overview:A Houston-based construction company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Lead to join our team. This full-time role involves overseeing the accounts payable (AP) team and ensuring accurate and timely financial processing in compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Sage 300 and experience in the construction industry.Key Responsibilities:Accounts Payable Management:Oversee AP specialists in processing payments to suppliers, vendors, owners, and general contractors.Ensure timely payment of invoices while verifying the validity of debts and maintaining compliance with company procedures.Process new supplier and subcontractor accounts and ensure accurate maintenance of financial records using accounting software.Financial Reporting & Month-End Close:Manage month-end AP close and provide accurate financial reporting.Maintain up-to-date bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets.Relationship Management:Build and sustain relationships with new and existing suppliers.Handle inquiries and follow up with suppliers and subcontractors as needed.Invoice Processing:Compare purchase orders, prices, terms of payment, and other charges.Process invoices for payment, ensuring accuracy and adherence to terms.Required Qualifications:Sage 300 experience (mandatory).Construction industry experience (strongly preferred).At least 2 years of accounts payable experience.Proficient in MS Office Suite and Outlook.Solid understanding of financial processes, including bookkeeping and tax filing.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong organizational and time management skills.Basic math skills and attention to detail.Ability to pass pre-employment background checks, including criminal and drug screenings.Why Join Us?We offer a collaborative work environment and an opportunity to contribute to the financial health of a growing construction company.
