Job SummaryThe Accounts Payable Lead at Bee's Plumbing and Heating provides strategic leadership for the AP department, driving efficiency, compliance, and alignment with company goals. This role manages the full-cycle AP process, supports cost control initiatives, and ensures accurate financial reporting in a dynamic service environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the Accounts Payable function and optimize processes.
• Develop and implement policies tailored to job costing and vendor payment strategies.
• Oversee payment schedules and ensure proper allocation of expenses to jobs.
• Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, negotiating terms to support cash flow.
• Analyze AP data to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes related to material purchasing and subcontractor payments.
• Lead AP-related activities during audits, month-end close, and annual budgeting processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience in progressive AP experience, including management, preferably in the plumbing and heating or construction industry.
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Proven track record of process improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks preferred) and financial reporting tools.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
