Accounts Payable Specialist - Robert Half : Job Details

DescriptionA company in Santa Clarita is looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our financial department by ensuring the timeliness, accuracy, and processing of payments to our suppliers. A key requirement for this role is a solid understanding of accounting principles and strong numeric skills.Responsibilities and Duties:+ Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.+ Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.+ Manage the entire payment cycle, including receiving, processing, and verifying invoices.+ Process check requests and expense reports on a regular basis.+ Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices.+ Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.+ Maintain vendor files, including keeping vendor details up-to-date.+ Perform monthly reconciliations.+ Ensure timely payment of invoices, maintaining accurate records and control reports.+ Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.RequirementsQualifications:+ Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.+ Proven working experience as an accounts payable specialist.+ Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles.+ High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.+ Excellent data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.+ Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, primarily Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.+ Good analytical skills, ability to identify errors.+ Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
