Accounts Payable Specialist - McCallum Rock Drilling : Job Details

McCallum Rock Drilling (MRD) is a rock drilling and blasting contractor based out of Chehalis, WA, that has been in business since 1988. MRD operates in commercial quarries, surface mines, timberlands and construction sites throughout the Western US. We are currently hiring for a full-time Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Chehalis, WA team and will be reporting directly to the Office Manager. The full-time Accounts Payable Specialist will help process, track, and record payments in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. • Accurate and timely processing of invoices and credits
• Verify receiving documents for approvals and proper GL coding
• Select invoices for payment and prepare checks for signing
• Mail vendor payments
• Reconcile vendor statements
• Maintain vendor files and positive vendor relations
• Schedule online payments
• Enter Prepaid Electronic Funds Transfer, monthly recurring charges
• Maintain and process credit cards for payments
• Provide administrative support as needed

Minimum skills and qualifications include:

• Maintain and uphold professionalism and a positive attitude
• Ability to solve problems and present possible solutions to the team
• Ability to function in a fast pace work environment
• Ability to multitask and prioritize task as assigned
• Willingness to learn and process feedback in order to grow
• Bookkeeping experience a plus
• Accounts payable experience (preferred)
• Strong mathematical skills
• Great time management skills and detail oriented
• Proficient with MS Suite

Hourly Rate: $22-$25 DOE Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm
