The starting hourly rate ranges up to $21/hour, depending on qualifications. This position compiles, classifies, records, verifies, and maintains data and payments to accounts payable by performing the following duties. Requirements Include the following: Other duties may be assigned: • Reviews and verifies invoices and check requests. • Sorts, codes and matches invoices. • Enters and uploads invoices into system. • Assists with preparation and process of electronic transfers and payments. • Assists with payroll preparation. • Prepares and performs check runs. • Posts transactions to journals, ledgers and other records. • Reconciles accounts payable transactions. • Monitors accounts to ensure payments are up to date. • Researches and resolves invoice discrepancies and issues. • Maintains vendor files. • Corresponds with vendors and responds to inquiries. • Assists with month end closing. • Provides supporting documentation for audits. • Audits freight bills. • Prepares daily and weekly cash deposits and reporting. • Assists with Sales Tax return preparation. • Assists with related special projects as needed. Experience in a manufacturing facility a plus. Payroll experience a plus. 1 Year of Accounts Payable experience required. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Computer Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Sage 100 experience a plus.
