Additional information about Saxco International, LLC can be found at The freight AP specialist is responsible for managing and processing carrier invoices in TMS (Transportation Management System) & Freightview SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (but not limited to any of these functions and responsibilities as required) • Manage processes and carrier invoice approvals in Captone 3G TMS and manually schedule invoices for payment in FreightView. • Execute precise payment coding including application of Landed Cost in the journal ledger for both domestic and international freight carriers (USA & Canada) • Meet deadlines and provide critical data insights for month-end and year-end closings, aiding in accurate financial forecasting • Maintain accurate records of freight invoices in the centralized repository • Import and post carrier invoices from TMS into the ERP (AX2012) • Reconcile freight vendor accounts • Verifying the accuracy of invoices • Research invoice discrepancies and resolve • Correspond with vendors concerning payment issues • Heavy data entry into systems • Investigate and reconcile invoice discrepancies directly with vendors and other internal departments • Assist in development of the TMS as needed • Assist transportation team members as needed • Assist accounting team as needed • Perform projects as required by Supervisor QUALIFICATIONS: • Associate's degree in business administration OR any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school supplemented by college level courses in accounting or business administration. • Some Accounts Payable experience preferred • Distribution or manufacturing experience strongly preferred • Knowledge of mid-market or tier 1 ERP systems required (knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred) • Strong Excel Skills and experience with rest of MS Office Suite (Word, Power Point, Outlook) • Must be comfortable with multi-tasking in a medium sized office environment • Must be able to work independently and high attention to detail • Must possess good communication and problem-solving skills Job Type: Full-time Job Location: Fairfield, Ca.
