Apply today and be part of our growth!Job DescriptionThe Accounts Payable Specialist provides financial, administrative, and clerical support by receiving payments, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner. This position recognizes needs, prioritizes and accomplishes accounting responsibilities in an organized way to accomplish the results needed and in the best interest of the business. The Accounts Payable position keeps information confidential.Responsibilities- Enter vendor bills into system- Match purchase orders to vendor bills- Manage reports to identify bills that need further review due to discrepancies in 3-way match - Work directly with Buyers and Operations teams to resolve bill discrepancies- Manage specific vendor accounts and relationships- Report payment exceptions to vendors in a timely manner- Process high volume accounts payable- Reconcile monthly vendor statements to ensure both parties' balances are aligned- Communicate to vendors via phone and e-mail in a professional manner- Maintain vendor records to ensure accurate contact and remittance information is kept current- Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities- Match final documentation with check run, validating payments are accurate before being sent out- Maintain organized desk and files for efficient daily tasks- Special projects as assignedSkills and KnowledgeExcellent organization skills with the ability to plan and execute tasks efficiently, Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Strong math skillsQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED; Associates Degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school preferred; 1-3 years accounts payables compliance requirements; Proficiency in MS Office, primarily Excel; High degree of accuracy, attention to detail and confidentiality; Excellent data entry skills; Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills; Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills; Effective organizational, stress and time management skills; Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines; Ability to work independently or as a team memberWork is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Required to stand and walk; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms; differentiate colors. Must have the ability to lift and small carry parcels, packages and other items up tp 25lbs, and to walk short distances.$20.00 - $26.00Hourly
