**What You Will Do**
This position, at the direction of Financial Services Supervisor, is responsible for the production of all claims, capitation and miscellaneous payments to providers according to contractual agreements, including the creation of payments in the IDX system, researching payment inquiries and producing and distributing supporting documents by required deadlines.
**Required Qualifications**
+ 1 Year Data entry experience
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Associate's Degree Business or Accounting
+ Other Coursework in computer software applications
+ 1 Year Experience with spreadsheet applications in a health care setting
**Essential Functions**
+ Accounts payable processingReview invoices for accuracy, stamp received date and route to Finance for further approval.Enter invoices in Great Plains and perform necessary functions to generate payments. Scan documents if indicated; link pharmacy purchase orders and invoices.Generate miscellaneous payments according to Financial Svcs schedule, obtain second signatures as needed; mail and/or distribute payments as instructed; maintain accurate files on all payments.

+ Manage monthly reportsCompile, print, review and distribute monthly reports for SCMG Finance and Administration as assigned.Download claims check register according to procedure.Download Open Payables report from IDX Checkwriter application.Print voided check register and distribute.
+ Payment distribution and researchResearch claims payment discrepancies when check and EOB totals do not match; perform follow-up functions as needed.Void checks when necessary and perform appropriate steps to reissue or adjust payment according to procedure.Process full and partial refunds against claims payments in IDX.Enter payment adjustments, including out-of-plan sanctions, when notified.
+ Payment processingRelease invoices for payment, create cash requirement and generate payments according to procedures.Generate supporting documents to accompany payments, including EOBs.Void checks and resolve payment issues timely.Accurately maintain and generate IDX check registers.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
+ Must be PC literate and able to type 45 words per minute; knowledge of Excel and Word required; knowledge of Great Plains preferred.
+ Knowledge of Accounting with emphasis on software applications for payment processing.
+ Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
+ Ability to follow instructions and perform with minimal supervision, prioritizing tasks as needed to meet frequent deadlines.
+ Ability to problem-solve system issues related to job performance.
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills.
+ Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications preferred.
