We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team!
The Accounts Payable Specialist provides accounting support to major financial accounting areas, including accounts payable, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliations.
Primary Responsibilities
Three-way matching: invoice, receiver, and purchase orderReview and code all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval before paymentMaintain vendor files and W9 compliancePrioritize invoices for payment according to cash discount potential and payment termsProcess check runs and file checks and invoice hardcopiesAudit credit card bills and include receipts for payment processingReconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepanciesAnalyze accounts in preparation for month-end closingReconciliation of bank statementsContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededContribute to corporate projects and initiativesSkill Requirements
Strong work ethic and dependabilityMust possess professionalism, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well with a teamKnowledge of accounts payable/general ledger processes, financial chart of accounts, debits/credits, and corporate procedures.Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independentlyAbility to handle distractions with an efficient return to taskAbility to comply with procedures, rules, and policiesAbility to communicate financial information in sound business language for all levels of the companyEducation Requirements
