What You'll Do: In this role, you'll assist our Controller and accounting team with various tasks including:
- Accounts Receivables & Monthly Billing: Manage AIA contract billing, invoicing, and cash receipts.
- Bank Reconciliation: Ensure accurate financial reporting through regular bank reconciliations.
- Cash Management & Reporting: Handle weekly EFT adjustments, positive pay uploads, and reporting for Builders Risk and unclaimed property.
- Team Support: Be cross-trained in payroll, accounts payable, and change order management for a well-rounded skill set.
Future Growth Opportunities:
- Gain experience in quarterly payroll taxes and management of change orders.
- Learn key responsibilities of the Controller to serve as backup when needed.
What We're Looking For:
- 2+ years of accounting experience (construction industry experience is a plus).
- An Associate's degree or accounting certificate (preferred but not required).
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; ability to quickly learn new software.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and organizational abilities.
- A team player who enjoys collaborative work but is also comfortable working independently.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
