Accounts Receivable and Rent Administrator

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Post all lockbox checks and subsidies on daily basis.

  • Post the security deposits and reconcile the security deposits.

  • Rent bills (print labels, print bills and put them in envelopes).

  • Reconcile tenant ledgers for multiple properties. Reconcile receivable reports at the end of the month.

  • Access to NYCH and keep Property Managers updated if subsidy is terminated for any units

  • Monitor receipt of new contract rents from NYCHA and update the lease charge in the system.

  • Prepare and send out arrears reports to Property Managers for both Tenant shares and NYCHA shares

  • Keep track of new move-ins checks (first month and security deposit) and move outs (SD

  • Monitor ERAP payments and One-Shot payments

  • Open NYCHA letters and scan them to property managers

  • Assist on compliance submissions.

  • Answer tenant inquiries in regards to rent changes

Desired skills and experience:

Degree or equivalent on the job experience in accounting or business administration

· Knowledge of City agencies (NYCHA, HPD, DOB, HDC) certifications, violations etc.

· Knowledge of the requirements of HUD for management of HUD insured building.

· Knowledge of Rent Stabilization laws.

· Certified Low Income Housing Tax Credit Compliance.

· Yardi Voyager experience.

Strong financial and analytical skills

Ability to communicate effectively with property managers and team members

Fluency with Microsoft programs

Job Types: Full-time

Salary: $50,000.00 per year
