Overview

The Accounts Receivable Billing Clerk Home Health works in our fast paced-centralized billing operations team at our corporate office. The Accounts Receivable Billing Clerk is responsible for insurance verification, data entry, private billing, insurance claims, collection and follow-up for all payment sources. An ideal candidate would have experience with medical billing in a long term care organization or home health setting.

Responsibilities

* Post payments and releases claims for all private pay, VA, and CSI clients.

* Obtains and mails invoice copies for customers.

* Researches and processes customer claims of invoice payment.

* Answers accounts receivable phone inquiries and follows up.

* Calls and/or mails correspondence to customers as necessary for collection and/or in order to update accounts.

* Verify insurances for services and obtain authorization of visits through My Nexus

* maintain Home Health supply inventory for nurses and aides.

* Research billing denials for resubmission.

* Assists with related special projects as required.

Requirements

* Must have Associate's Degree, preferably in Accounting.

* A minimum of 1-2 years of administrative/office experience is required with emphasis to medical billing.

* Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational and computer skills.

* To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of accounting software.

* An ideal candidate would have experience in medical billing, preferably in long term care or home health.
