ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYJoin world-class experts in finding answers to our customers' toughest questions as our Lead, Accounts Receivable. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your experience in support of our Finance and Accounting team.Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this person is responsible for full cycle accounts receivable and assigned general ledger and month-end close activities. Other responsibilities include the following:
- Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts
- Prepare journal entries, analysis and account reconciliations and assist with monthly close processes
- Meet processing and reporting deadlines
- Support account inquiries and fluctuations for month-end accounting review
- Participate in evaluating current processes to identify areas of in-efficiencies
- Assist with audits, including compiling requested information and preparation of various analysis
- Calculate and post receipts to appropriate general ledger accounts and verify details of transactions, such as funds received and total account balances
- Generate customer invoices, deliver and/or post to customer platforms, reconcile any differences from customer PO to invoice
- Work with customer service/sales personnel to verify status of delinquent accounts and solicit payments on overdue accounts
- Prepare monthly receivable statements
- Interact and engage with subsidiary companies and manage/maintain correct accounts receivable balances
- Engage management over any AR problems you encounter
- Initiate collections on past-due accounts
- Support Month end close process including reconciliations for accounts receivable and clearing accounts
- Audit ledgers to ensure they contain correct information, such as billing addresses and invoice numbers
- Creating accounts for state sales tax returns and working with Avalara to complete processing
- Validate accuracy of financial data and reports
- Comply to Halma pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job

ABOUT THE CANDIDATEOur ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of principles in accounting and bookkeeping with extensive Accounts Receivable experience. They should bring experience and knowledge and possess the following:
- Experience with automated accounting (ERP) systems (D365 is a plus)
- Analytical skills to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Read and interpret terms and conditions, written guidelines, directions, and correspondence
- Strong communication skills to prepare and deliver analytical, and/or persuasive presentations
- Strong organizational skills to balance priorities, complete projects in a timely manner, and consistently manage own workload
- Diplomacy, flexibility, and tact (professional demeanor)
- Organized, detail-oriented and refined time management skills
- Ability to work independently and effectively under high stress, time critical deadlines
- Commitment to continuous improvement
- Good customer service skills and teamwork spirit
- Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- High school diploma/GED is required
- Bachelor's degree (Finance or Accounting) preferred & Accounts Receivable/Collections experience
- 5+ years of accounting experience
