Job Summary: The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for working with the Accounts Receivable team to maintain and manage Bethesda entities' accounts receivable. This includes communicating with those receiving Bethesda services, responsible payers, departments, and government agencies to process and submit information. This role reviews accounts to resolve any unpaid claims and optimizes revenue.Essential Requirements of Work: (Minimum qualifications necessary to function at full productivity) A. Preferred Education and Training: Technical Accounting/Finance Degree B. Experience: Previous administrative practice in a relevant financial field. Prior experience billing Medicare, Medicare Advantage, private insurance, and Medicaid is preferred.Knowledge, Skills, and Ability for Full Performance:
Knowledge and understanding of Bethesda policies Continuity of doing accounts receivable so special circumstances are kept in mind.Know how and where to retrieve information on a variety of subjects. Be proficient in the job routine and understand how the job interacts with others. To fully use all office equipment to save time and ensure the output of quality and accuracy of work.Proficiency in resolving denials and claims rejections specific to services that are being billed.Strong analytical skills to interpret billing data and trends.Experience with electronic claim submissions and following up on unpaid claims.
