Job Description :

The Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a key role in managing the financial transactions of the company's incoming payments. The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for overseeing the company's receivables and ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer payments. This role involves invoicing, payment tracking, and communication with customers. This position can be performed in a Part-time or Full-time capacity. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Generate and issue accurate and timely invoices to customers for goods or services rendered.
  • Ensure all necessary information, such as payment terms and due dates, is included in the invoices.
  • Track and monitor incoming payments from customers.
  • Apply payments to customers accounts and reconcile payments against outstanding invoices.
  • Monitor and manage customer credit limits to prevent overdue payments.
  • Communicate with customers to resolve any issues related to credit terms and outstanding balances.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies between payments and invoices.
  • Investigate and resolve any payment discrepancies or issues.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, such as sales, and customer service, to address payment-related queries.
  • Respond to customer inquiries regarding payment status and provide necessary documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain reports on accounts receivable status.
  • Provide regular updates on aging of receivables and potential risks.
  • Initiate collection procedures for overdue accounts, including sending reminders and escalation as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
  • Proven experience in AR or similar financial role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Experience with automated accounting programs and systems, QuickBooks a plus.
  • Ability to apply discretion and trust with confidential information.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial data.
  • Ability to effectively apply analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
