What You Will Be Doing:
We are looking for a skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist who is self-motivated, detail oriented, and excited to perform a variety of tasks for the accounting department. This position will be responsible for all aspects of Accounts Receivables, including invoicing, collection, and cash application. It requires excellent customer service skills and an in-depth familiarity with a wide scope of business concepts, practices and procedures that rely on experience and sound judgement to accomplish goals. The position reports to the Accounts Receivable Manager.
This role is based out of Tampa, FL.
Accounts Receivable Specialist Key Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the full and complete cycle of accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and cash postings for multiple divisions.
* Ensure that customer invoices are delivered in a timely manner via mail and electronic deliveries.
* Record customers' payments in a prompt and accurate manner.
* Provide prompt and professional service to their customers.
* Responsible for monitoring customer payment and contract terms to ensure invoice accuracy.
* Prepare and review customer statements. Follow up on delinquent, and/or underpaid accounts, solve reimbursement issues, and collect past-due amounts.
* Preparing and review the accounts receivable aging reports for identification of customer balances that need to be followed up for payment.
* Reconcile cash receipts and accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
* Recommend opportunities for continuous process improvement.
* Participate in ad-hoc projects as they arise.
Accounts Receivable Specialist Qualifications:
* Minimum five (5) years' experience in an Accounts Receivable/general accounting role.
* BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration preferred but not required.
* Experience using NetSuite preferred by not required.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; must be able to interact effectively across the organization and with external customers.
* Strong problem solving and analytical skills, must have a thorough understanding of business processes and internal controls.
* Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including: Outlook, Teams, Word, SharePoint, and Excel.
* Candidate must be self-motivated, and detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
