Job Description :
AR Specialist performs all functions of billing and client accounts receivable including invoicing and application of payments to client accounts for all payor sources including Medicaid, Medicare, private pay, and all third party.HS Diploma or GED required. Minimum of two years relevant experience or training in accounts receivables and computerized billing procedures. Knowledge of and the ability to use personal computer applications including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word. Must pass a Criminal Background Check and Employment Fitness Determination through WVCARES and a drug screen. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Data entry of third party and other billing information in client records.Provide and maintain accurate record of billable client services.Preparation of billing statements for Medicaid, Medicare, third party and private pay.Track and respond to correspondence relating to client bills.Coordinate re-bills and denials when necessary.Record all cash applications, adjustments and write offs.Communicate timely with clients and third-party payors when billing problems arise.Assist with provider credentialing information to insurance companies.Communicate with third party payors to verify coverage and obtain authorizations.Prepare routine reports, as needed or requested.Maintain sufficient knowledge of prevailing service and billing regulations to adequately perform duties.Represent Seneca in a positive manner including maintaining a positive attitude and performing duties in a manner in accordance with Seneca's Mission and Code of Conduct & Ethical Practices.Secure information by adhering to HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 regulations and Seneca privacy policies and keeping client information confidential.Other duties as assigned by supervisor.Minimum Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
