We are looking to hire a group of outstanding leaders to help build the team that will operate this new location. The facility is currently undergoing a multi-million-dollar upgrade project with a goal of opening for business in late spring of 2025. FutureCare Annapolis will be licensed as a 154-bed skilled nursing facility serving the post-acute and long-term care needs of the community. • Lead all activity programs throughout the facility within established budgetary guidelines.
• Promote positive relationships with individuals, businesses, and organizations in the community through outings and activities provided by volunteers.
• Maintain the activities calendar of events to provide a variety of resident and family-centered experiences.
• Monitor and prepare the department budget and financial statements to meet revenue and budget targets.
• Responsible for hiring, coaching, and retaining a high-performing activities team.
• Abide by the standards identified in FutureCare's Statement of Corporate Ethics and the Corporate Compliance Plan.Qualifications
  • Must have at least 2-3 years of experience.
  • Certified in the field of Therapeutic Activities or Activities preferred.
  • Must be able to work occasional weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Knowledge of special needs and limitations of elderly and disabled.
  • Knowledge of methods and techniques used to include residents and involve them in activities.
  • Must possess patience, compassion, and excellent communication skills as well as a cheerful disposition.
