ACTIVITIES & LIFEGUARD SPECIALIST - Gscsnj : Job Details

This role is responsible for providing supervision and ensuring a safe environment in all specialty outdoor activities including, pool, archery, boating, zip line, and rock wall.

**Job Functions Include, but are not limited to:**

* Instruct and supervise to ensure safety in specialty outdoor activities.

* Assist in the delivery and supervision of all water activities and special events.

* Customize activities to fit week/weekend theme.

* Supervise and guard all waterfront activities. Provide surveillance during aquatic activities to help prevent and to manage injuries.

* Utilize First Aid and CPR and other emergency management services as needed.

* Understand and implement appropriate response to changes in water conditions or weather conditions affecting the waterfront.

* Evaluate aquatics abilities of campers and staff.

* Assist in the management and care of the physical facilities and equipment of all specialty camp activities.

* Conduct daily check of areas and equipment for safety, cleanliness, and good repair.

**Qualifications**:

* Holds current certification in waterfront lifeguard training or equivalent from a nationally recognized certifying body

* Holds current certification in Professional First Aid and CPR from a nationally recognized certifying body.

* Small Craft Safety or Boating Instructor Certification a plus

* Archery Level 1 or Level 2 Certification a plus

* Prior experience in specialty camp activities

* Must submit health history record and record of immunizations prior to first day of work.

* Water Safety Instructor Certification preferred
