Burch Adult Day CareCenter is a department of Calhoun County Medical Care Facility and is designedto provide medical and rehabilitation services to clients 18 years and olderwith physical or mental disabilities. Restorative therapy, nursing, medicalmonitoring, dietary and personal care needs are readily available.The Centerspecializes in care for adults who are suffering from a variety of diagnosessuch as: Alzheimer's disease; Parkinson's; stroke victims; head injuries,Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy and social isolation. One very importantaspect of using Adult Day Care services is the opportunity for socialstimulation and interaction with others.Responsibilities: The Activity Assistant will work closely with the Activity Coordinator in the planning and implementation of activities designed to meet the social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational, and physical needs and interests of our clients.

• Through activities, provides stimulation or solace, and promotes physical, cognitive and/or emotional health.
• Promotes each client's self-respectby providing activities that support self-expression and choice
• Offers activities that involve staff, and volunteers.

Qualifications:

• Experienceconducting social/recreational programs in a healthcare setting.
• Chauffer's license preferred.

This is a Part-Time Monday-Friday position with the hours of 10:00am - 2:00pm. Hours may vary slightly with the ongoing growth of program andfacility needs.Pay is to be determined based on experience and qualifications.
