Title:Activity CoordinatorDepartment: Nutrition and Senior CentersFLSA Status: Non-ExemptReports To:Project CoordinatorSummary:Assists in the development, implementation, and coordination of the Neighborhood-Based Program - Social Connections.Essential Functions: • Assists in the Community Connection and Engagement area service program in the community; conducts outreach to potential participants by coordinating and conducting community meetings to introduce the program.• Assists in coordinating and conducting enrollment meetings; presents the program and assists participants with completing the Consumer Intake Forms; and provides follow-up as needed.• Assists in the planning, promoting, and implementing educational, health, and recreational activities for the program.• Assists in designing and developing program promotional materials and activity schedules.• Assists in inputting participants' data into the SF GetCare system.• Assists in recruiting, training, and supervising all volunteers; coordinates volunteers' assignments and schedules.• Responsible for the maintenance of all program equipment and supplies.• Participates in staff meetings and other meetings as required.• Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree or college education with a minimum of two years of work experience in implementing programs in a non-profit setting.• Must possess strong self-motivation and ability to work with elderly people of all socioeconomic backgrounds; experience in working with seniors strongly preferred.• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.• Good public speaking skills.• Must be bilingual and bi-literate in English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin), and able to demonstrate cultural awareness.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the Internet. Must be able to use certain applications on smart devices.• Must be able to work on evenings and weekends.• Must pass a strength test for physical fitness for the job: able to lift and/or carry 35 lbs.• Must be able to travel via public transportation or personal vehicle for the performance of job duties.
