Activity Coordinator - Center for Youth : Job Details

OVERVIEW:

The Activity Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Program Manager in the coordinating and implementing of the comprehensive activity-based after school enrichment and academic assistance program. He/she assists with the direct implementation and development of program services. The Activity Coordinator's duties include offering support to staff who provide youth with tutoring services, activities, and trainings and groups. This position is directly supervised by the After-School Program Manager. This position is approx. 20 hours per week/10 months (summers off). Hours are Mon-Fri, 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:

• Assists in the coordination of scheduling and programming at designated school site.
• Maintains accurate and timely records in accordance with funder and agency requirements.
• Assists in the coordination of development and implementation of services delivered during the after-school program.
• Assists in the oversight of the daily operations of the program.
• Facilitates partnerships with appropriate public and private agencies that provide services to the students and families.
• Assist in the implementation of procedures and policies for operation of the after-school program.
• Establishes and maintains communication with members of the school staff about student needs and aspects of the after-school program.
• Maintains records needed for program administration.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Schedule:

This is a 10-month position (generally September-June). Part-time, 20 hours per week.

QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor's Degree in a Human Service or related field or combination of education and experience.

In addition to the above, it is mandatory that candidates meet the following criteria prior to hire:

• Authorization for the agency to obtain driving record information
