Acute Care Surgeon - Tanner Health System : Job Details

Tanner Health is seeking a board certified/board eligible Acute Care General Surgeon to join our hospital employed Carrollton Surgical Group consisting of 6 board certified general surgeons and 4 full-time APPs. Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Will provide coverage to primarily inpatient & emergency department consults at Tanner Medical Center - Carrollton, a 181 bed (and growing) acute care hospital located in Carrollton, GA, and Tanner Medical Center - Villa Rica, a 53 bed (and growing) acute care hospital located in Villa Rica, GA
• Receives ED calls, transfers, and referrals from Tanner's critical access hospitals, Higgins General Hospital in Bremen, GA, and Tanner East Alabama in Wedowee, AL.

• Monday - Friday; 7a - 5p

• No weeknight call coverage responsibilities, and weekend call coverage obligations will be evenly split with your general surgery physician colleagues.

• M.D. or D.O. degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
• Unrestricted Georgia physician license, or able to obtain
• Residency trained in General Surgery
• Board certified or eligible in General Surgery
• Proven competency to perform a full spectrum of routine general surgery procedures and acute care surgery
