Adjunct - Business and Hospitality (PT) - SUNY Sullivan County Community College : Job Details

SUNY Sullivan is accepting applications for continuous recruitment to fill the part-time, adjunct position with the opportunity to become a full-time Instructor for a tenure-track appointment in the Catskill Hospitality Institute. Applicants will be called upon on an as-needed basis.

* Tax Preparer (Micro)

* Tourism (CERT)

* Hospitality Tourism Management (AAS)

Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will be able to:

* Prepare and present a course syllabus based on the agreed-upon curriculum and department standards

* Evaluate and assess students on the course learning outcomes

* Provide advisory services for students seeking extra help and career guidance through weekly office hours

* Developing and following clear and transparent grading practices

* Timely submitting requested grades, attendance records, and academic paperwork by posted deadlines.

Qualifications:

* Master's or PhD from an accredited institution

* Professional work experience within the fields of business and/or hospitality

* License in subject area, where applicable

* Prior teaching experience

* Prior teaching at the collegiate level

* Prior online course instruction
