Job Description SummaryCandidates should be innovative, energetic educators with experience teaching adult learners within a Learning Management Systems D2L, Brightspace, Blackboard, Moodle, Canvas, etc. Ability to teach Information Technology certification prep courses including CompTIA Tech+, A+, Network+, and Security+ to today's multi-generational learners.Candidates should demonstrate (1) a mastery of their specific discipline; (2) experience planning course materials; (3) a deep commitment to education and professional development; (4) technology competencies; (5) teaching skills and CompTIA strategies that facilitate 21st century literacies for the global economy; and (6) an understanding of instructional technology.Adjunct plans, organizes and teaches non-credit programs in specific discipline. Courses must include essential workplace competencies, leading to student success in the workplace. Prepares and provides course syllabi and instructional materials to students which tie to prescribed learning outcomes that promote professional growth and skill attainment.
Minimum Education:- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
Minimum Experience/Training: - Three-five years' experience as an Information Technology professional.
- Experience teaching within a Learning Management Systems such as D2L, Brightspace, Blackboard, Moodle, Canvas preferred.
- Experience teaching diverse adult professionals
- Available to conduct training during weekdays and business hours a plus
Minimum Certifications: - CompTIA certifications in A+, Network+, Security+, or related credentials required.
- Additional certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, AWS) are a plus.
- Training & Development preferred.
