They will be expectedto demonstrate an understanding of and sensitivity to diversity and gender issues, as SUNY Plattsburgh is committed to ensuring that its graduates are educated to succeed in an increasingly complex, multicultural, and interdependent world.Some Adjunct Instructors assigned to laboratories, theaters, or studios (art, theater, science) must participate in mandatory safety training before they can begin work. Training sessions are provided by the College during the first week of each semester. No additional compensation is provided for attendance at the mandatory safety training sessions.The vita bank exists to provide a pool of candidates who might be available to fill anticipated positions as needed.Required Qualifications:BA/BS in Biology and prior teaching experience required. Successful candidates will have demonstrated an ability to work effectively and collegially with faculty, staff, and administrators.Preferred Qualifications:MS/MA and laboratory instruction experience preferred.Salary (Applicant View) About Our UniversityThe College's 256-acre campus sits on the edge of the city's downtown area.
