Department: Office of the DeanSalary: Commensurate with experienceDescription:The College of Medicine at the University of Houston invites applicants with expertise to be considered for non-tenure track, part-time adjunct employment opportunities. Areas include Community Health, Health Policy, Behavioral & Social Sciences, Health Systems & Population Health Sciences, Biomedical Sciences and Clinical Sciences.QualificationsMinimum Qualifications* Doctoral degree, M.D., DO, Ph.D. or J.D. in related disciplines* Minimum of 5 years' experience in teaching* Expertise in health care and medical education* Commitment to innovative approaches to education and learning* Excellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred Qualifications:* Experience using different teaching methods which might include case-based learning, 'flipped classroom', problem-basedlearning (PBL), interactive large group presentation, audience response systems, and curriculum delivery systems.* Experience with student mentoring and advisingOfficial transcripts are required for a faculty appointment and will be requested upon selection of the final candidates.
