This is a part-time adjunct position located at the VU Main Campus site. The Physics Adjunct Instructor will teach lectures and/or labs within the Department of Engineering. Duties and Responsibilities Teach physics lectures and/or labs. This may include courses in Technical Physics and General Physics. Assist full-time faculty with lab setup (if needed)Required and Preferred Qualifications

• To teach lecture: Masters Degree with 18 graduate hours in Physics/Engineering or Masters Degree with 18 graduate hours in Physic/Engineering related coursework.
• To teach lab: Bachelor's degree in Physics/Engineering with 12 hours of coursework.

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of algebra-based physics. Ability to work with a variety of learning styles and skill levels. Ability to work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and administrationWhile part-time employees are not eligible for the University's benefit plan, there are certain required taxes that will be deducted from part-time employees' pay in order for the University to remain compliant with state and federal laws.
