Position Description Advertised Job Summary USC Sumter is seeking an Adjunct Instructor in History to teach HIST 101 and 102: European Civilization and/or HIST 111 and 112: History of the United States. Courses may be in-person in Lexington, Richland, or Sumter Counties, or online. Candidates should possess a Master's degree and a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the discipline. Master's Degree or Ph.D. in the discipline preferred. Please indicate your interest in teaching in person and/or online. Teaching experience in post-secondary education and with online instruction is desired. Experience teaching the above-named course(s) or equivalent is ideal. This appointment is on a course-by-course basis. Salary is commensurate with education, experience and discipline. Qualifications Candidates must have either a completed Ph.D. or be currently pursuing a Ph.D. with at least 18 graduate hours in History and specific coursework in the field being taught.
