Adjunct Lecturer or Adjunct Assistant Professor - Biological Sciences

FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Biological Sciences Department at Bronx Community College (BCC) seeks experienced adjunct instructors to teach General Biology I (BIO 11), Anatomy and Physiology I (BIO 23), Anatomy and Physiology II (BIO 24), and Microbiology (BIO 28) during the Spring 2025 semester (01/25/2025 to 05/22/2025).

Performs teaching, research and guidance duties in area(s) of expertise. Shares responsibility for committee and department assignments including administrative, supervisory, and other functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Adjunct Lecturer: Bachelor's degree in biology or a closely related discipline, and the ability to teach successfully to diverse student body in an urban environment. Master's degree preferred.

Adjunct Assistant Professor: Ph.D. in biology or a closely related discipline, and the ability to teach successfully to a diverse student body in an urban environment.

COMPENSATION

Salary commensurate with education and experience:

Adjunct Lecturer: $91.67 - $98.40 per hour

Adjunct Assistant Professor: $100.00 - $106.41 per hour
