This support is provided using an integrated service delivery model that includes subject-matter experts from each core department and community partners who offer services to county residents in our HHS Community Resource Center. Additionally, DCR administers Child Support Services, Unified Workforce Development programs, and Integrated Health and Human Services Mail Services.Location:430 Stitt RoadCharlotte, NC 28213Position SummaryThis customer-facing role involves collecting documents and/or verifications at the Document Counter in the Mecklenburg County Health and Human Services (HHS) Community Resource Center (CRC). Responsibilities include collecting, reviewing, identifying, and routing document types; utilizing state and county computer systems to input information, assess customer needs, and determine case status; providing information and referral services; and utilizing the queuing system to route customers appropriately. This position may also provide backup support for other administrative functions within the CRC. The role requires an in-depth understanding of CRC services and processes and involves working as part of a team to deliver excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.Perform routine administrative, clerical and technical work. This position, under general supervision, is responsible for general administrative functions of variety and specialization in a department.Essential Functions* Provide administrative support to internal departmental staff* Respond to inquiries and resolve administrative issues that may arise* Prepare written correspondence such as memos, forms and emails* Respond to and resolve customer inquires regarding services available, community resource options, on-going programs and benefit status* Create, maintain, organize and enter information into databases and use various computer applications* Operate office equipment, fax machines, copiers, or phone systems and arrange for needed repairs* Set up and manage paper or electronic filing systems, recording information, updating paperwork, or maintaining documents, such as correspondence, or other material* Operate mail systems and coordinate the flow of information, internally or externally* Schedule, confirm and maintain meetings, events, and schedules* Compose, type, and distribute information such as meeting notes, agendas, and general informationMecklenburg County Department of Community Resources: Respond in cases of urgent and/or emergent events that require public health interventions. Employees may be trained for and assigned duties unrelated to their regular work; work outside normal business hours and workdays and/or in a different work location may be required.
