Overview
East Penn is currently seeking a Credit Support Admin Assistant that will provide administrative support to the Credit Department. Under the direction of the Credit Manager prepares correspondence and keeps accurate records for personal guarantee's, accounts sent to collection, as well as applicable records and reporting for accounts in bankruptcy proceedings; assists the Accounts Receivable Department to co-ordinate the application of electronic payments (with Credit); files any necessary court or UCC filings. Processes credit applications, trade references and pulls credit reports when needed.
Responsibilities
Maintains a list of Sales Representatives and their assigned Credit Department personnel Maintains bad debt files, keeps track of the balance owed and any payments that are received as recoveries and works with Accounts Receivable to process the accounts written off to Bad Debt Tracks and maintains Accounts Receivable unclaimed property Records NSF checks Processes refunds for customers Verifies banking information for Accounts Payable Completes credit reference requests Files court documents, including UCC filings and bankruptcy filings Maintains correspondence with collection agencies for accounts that have been turned over to third party collection agencies Maintains records of all personal guarantee's Processes credit applications, trade references and pulls credit reports when needed Backup for daily entry and reconciliation of electronic payments and advises Accounts Receivable how to apply those payments Monitors and distributes emails to the Credit Department email inbox Completes all requests for supplier or vendor information Completes other administrative tasks as assigned

Qualifications
An Associate's Degree in business administration or secretarial science or equivalent work experience.
At least 2 or more years previous experience in an office support/administrative capacity, preferably in an accounting related function.
Working knowledge of standard office equipment (personal computers, printers, copiers, fax machines) good working knowledge of computer software, including Microsoft Office Suite (WORD, Excel).
Good interpersonal and effective communication skills, ability to organize, prioritize and complete daily work with minimal supervision.
Ability to solve routine problems with a minimum of assistance from supervisor.
Good arithmetic and logical thinking skills.
Very Strong customer service skills.
