This positionrequires the employee to perform a variety of administrative and staff supportduties that involve a range of skills and knowledge of organizational policiesand procedures. The Administrative Assistant 2 is responsible for assisting anddirecting visitors, as well as resolving administrative problems and inquiries.The Administrative Assistant 2 also composes, edits, and proofreadscorrespondence and reports, with the ability to professionally prepare a rangeof administrative documents. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties asassigned including assisting customers at the front desk.See the Position Description for additional information.Conditions of Employment

Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED;at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.Preferred QualificationsPreferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a library or school setting
- Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures with strong focus on successful customer service, including telephone and email etiquette
- Familiarity with financial and purchasing practices and procedures
- Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
- Possess strongorganizational and project management skills
