ADMINISTRATIVE APPLICATIONS ADMINISTRATORHighland Community College is seeking a skilled and motivated Administrative Applications Administrator to oversee the College's administrative application systems. This full-time position is integral to enhancing institutional efficiency and supporting strategic goals through system analysis, maintenance, and technical support.Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and maintain administrative application systems to address complex operational issues, policies, and procedures.
- Provide technical support to end users, including problem resolution and documentation to ensure timely solutions.
- Research, plan, and implement software upgrades, patches, and new data capture and reporting requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations to ensure compliance and readiness for system enhancements.
- Lead projects involving administrative applications, including securing consultants, managing timelines, and resolving technical issues.
- Create and manage user accounts for administrative applications while ensuring data security and integrity.
- Extract data and assist in fulfilling institutional data needs, including federal, state, and internal reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with the Director of Institutional Research to prioritize data needs and align with institutional strategies.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the institution's mission and goals.
What We're Looking For:
- Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required (Bachelor's degree preferred).
- A minimum of five (5) years of direct experience with administrative application software systems, analysis, and design (preferably Ellucian Banner) OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficiency with administrative and educational computer systems (preferably Ellucian Banner), relational databases, and programming languages (Oracle, PostgreSQL, PL/SQL).
- Knowledge of systems analysis, project management, and software implementation processes.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting skills.
- Effective communication and customer service skills to address end-user needs.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
